My professor has given me a list of commentaries to use, where can I find these?

Answer

For commentaries that can be checked out:

●Visit the first floor and locate Call Numbers BS 491 for multivolume sets, BS 1235 - BS 1665 for Old Testament commentaries, and BS 2365 - BS 2629 for the New Testament. These are arranged in order by book of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, etc.).  General commentaries begin on shelf 4, and they run through shelf 9.

●Do a search in our Catalog by the title of Commentary. Include the author if you know it. Be specific about what book of the Bible you are writing on.

For commentaries that stay in the building:

●Visit the first floor and locate Reference Call Numbers (these are on the shelves marked with a red tag) BS 491 for multivolume sets of commentaries including Word Biblical Commentary, New American Commentary, and NIV Application Commentary.

For online commentaries:

●Go to our eBook collection and search for Bible Commentary (include what book of the BIble you are writing on).

●Go to our Ministry Matters database. Browse Bible Commentaries. Choose the volume that covers your book of the Bible.
