Where can I find commentaries?

For the 1st floor commentaries (which check out):
- BS 491 for multivolume sets
- BS 1235 - BS 1665 for Old Testament commentaries
- BS 2365 - BS 2629 for the New Testament.
These are arranged in order by book of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, etc.). General commentaries begin on shelf 4, and they run through shelf 9.
- Do a search in our Catalog by the title of commentary and the author's name. For example, "Genesis commentary AU: wenham"
For our 1st floor reference commentaries (which remain in the library):
- REF BS 491 for multivolume sets of commentaries including Word Biblical Commentary, New American Commentary, and NIV Application Commentary.
For online commentaries:
- Go to our eBook collection and search for Bible Commentary (include what book of the BIble you are writing on).
- Go to our Ministry Matters database. Browse Bible Commentaries. Choose the volume that covers your book of the Bible.
