Where do I find scholarly articles?

Answer

Most databases have a method for filtering your results so that you only pull scholarly or peer reviewed articles. Each database is different, but in general you can find a menu near your results list that allows you to "limit content" or "refine search" to filter for scholarly or peer reviewed articles (see below). Some databases, such as JSTOR and SAGE, do not have a scholarly filter, because all the results are academic in nature.
