How do I use JSTOR?

Answer

JSTOR provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines. To start exploring a wide range of scholarly content use the Advanced Search which is found above the main search bar on the homepage.

  • The + Add Row feature will allow for additional terms to be included within the search.
  • The drop-down list next to the search box allows you to select a Field: author, item title, abstract, caption.
  • Tip: Results may then be narrowed by scrolling down beneath the search bar by Item Type, Language, and Publication Date range.

Download the full research guide pdf to learn how to cite articles, find subject terms, and much more! Also, JSTOR has great training videos here. or you can view our JSTOR database tip sheet, attached below.
